Grout, Tile & Stone Sealer – Quick Drying has a quicker drying time. the Grout, Tile & Stone Sealer – Slow Drying has a slower drying time.
There are two different types of ceramic tiles-glazed and unglazed. Sealing of glazed ceramic tiles is not necessary as they are non-porous. The only thing that needs to be sealed in that case is the grout line which you would do after the tiles are laid.
In the instance of non-glazed ceramic tiles, or any other type of tile or stone, youcan use Sure Seal® prior to grouting as a grout release and after grouting to complete the sealing process. A light spray on the tiles prior to grouting facilitates easier cleanup of grout and prevents grout stains on the tiles. After tiles are laid and grouting is finished, an additional application of Sure Seal® should be done per can instructions on the tiles and grout lines.
Take your pick! You can use our Grout, Tile & Stone Sealer – Slow Drying or our 24/7 Plus Stone & Concrete Sealer. Because both these products are slower drying, they will provide better penetration on dense surfaces.
Our Grout, Tile & Stone Sealer – Quick Drying Aerosol will not affect paint, because it is such a fine spray and quick drying. If using liquid Grout, Tile & Stone Sealer – Quick Drying or Grout, Tile & Stone Sealer – Slow Drying, it is best to cover up the painted areas prior to sealing. Clean off any overspray immediately with a damp sponge or cloth.
Yes, any of the Sure Seal products can be used to seal stone tables and benchtops.
Sure Seal® products are invisible once they dry on the surface; therefore, we recommend application of two coats in case an area was missed when applying the first coat.
No! Sure Seal® does not contain silicones. Both the Grout, Tile & Stone Sealer – Quick Drying and the Grout, Tile & Stone Sealer – Slow Drying, are solvent-based products. We also have water-based products called 24/7 Plus Stone & Concrete Sealer, Ezy-As 1,2,3 and Premium Plus Sealer.
No! Sure Seal® will not seal the crack in the bathroom tile. Sure Seal® does not act like filler, but it will seal fine line cracks.

Any overspray to the surrounding glazed ceramic tiles is not a problem as Sure Seal® dries invisible. It will also help keep the tiles cleaner for easier maintenance.
Yes! You can spray the inside of your terracotta pots to help minimize water absorption. Use the Grout, Tile & Stone Sealer – Quick Drying aerosol or the 24/7 Plus Stone & Concrete Sealer applied with a brush.
Yes! You can still seal your tiles and grout in your bathroom. You will need to clean your bathroom to remove any soap scum or mildew that has already formed in your bathroom. If you are using a strong harsh cleaning agent we recommend that you rinse the area down with water thoroughly to remove any residue from the cleaning agent. Once this has been completed, you can seal your bathroom with our Grout, Tile & Stone Sealer – Quick Drying Aerosol, or use our Grout, Tile & Stone Sealer – Quick Drying liquid. To help remove soap scum, use our Sure Clean cleaner. If removing mould and mildew, use household bleach.
Most silicones are water-based products. They are used as fillers to fill gaps. Because they are mainly water based, they will not stick to a surface treated with Sure Seal® The best way to do it, is to apply the silicone product first, then apply Sure Seal® sealants over the top. If you have already sealed the area with Sure Seal®, you will have to remove the sealer from the surface of the area first, before you can apply the silicone. First, you flush the area with turps. Then you flush the area with plenty of water and agitate with a scrubbing brush. Clean with a rag. Apply the silicone product to the cleaned surface and once the area is dry, you can then re-seal with Sure Seal® quick drying aerosol or liquid product.

No! This is not recommended. You might try our Rug and Carpet Protector. Although specially formulated for heavy duty use on rugs and carpet, try a test area on an inconspicuous part of your fabric such as underneath the chair or lounge, etc. If it does not affect the texture or colour, it is safe to use. Overspray to wood or polished surfaces should be wiped clean with a wet sponge or rag. All our impregnator products are resistant to UV light.
No! All Sure Seal® products are penetrating sealers that seal the pores in tile and stone surfaces. They do not leave a residue on the surface, or need to be wiped off which you find when using acrylic or silicone-based products. They will not change the feel, texture or colour of the treated surface as they dry invisible. Sure Seal® products are also resistant to UV light.
